Halo: Reach

Intro
The review for today is nothing less then Halo: Reach! My reviews are from some older games still, but I will try to keep up with the new games and even test the new demo's!
The Halo Series from the almighty Bungie is one of the most succesfull Xbox games ever, and has a fan-base that spreads all over the world.

Gameplay
I think we all know what Halo is, but I'll explain it for those that don't know it. The game is based on a war between the Humans and the Covenant, who fight for the "weapons" which are called "Halo's." A Halo is a big ring in which an atmosphere exists, so life is possible on these rings. The Humans and the Covenant have always fighted for these, all the way from Halo: CE to Halo: Reach.
The campaign exists out of 11 missions, and 10 of these are playable. It has a very good storyline, and you really have to stay sharp if you want to follow the story because it might change all of a sudden.
The controls of the game are really nice aswell, but a little slow. Who ever is familiar with f.e. Call of Duty might find these controls a little clumsy. The weapons are balanced really well, and there is a wide variety of vehicles to ride in.
The multiplay is VERY competitive, and 100% pure addiction. For every game you play you gain credits, and these add up towards your rank. Once you've gained enough credits you'll go up one rank. You can later buy armour and special effects for you Spartan with these credits.

My opinion
I really like this game, especially the multiplayer. This will really keep you at the edge of your seat. You can also spend quite some time with the campaign if you set its difficulty higher, or you just want to get that special achievement. If I had to rate this game, I'd give it an 8,5/10.

Trials HD (Arcade)

Intro
Today I excessively played Trials HD for the Xbox360, an all-time classic in the game world. The game is developed by RedLynx and published by Microsoft Game Studios. I was really excited about Trials HD, because I always used to play the older versions of Trials on my computer and I was totally addicted to them. So lets start the review!

Gameplay
The controls of the game are very smooth, and after you play for a while you can really "feel" the bike, and notice the differences in bikes. The levels start very easy but after you progress towards the harder ones, it gets really challenging! The levels are well built, and barely have bugs in them, I have never found one actually. Also you have the ability to create you own levels, and do skill levels. These skill levels are mini-games and some of them are really hard. For example, you have to ride on top of a huge metal ball, which is going down a parcours of obstacles.

My opinion
I find this game a great addon to the series, and I will buy the expansion pack in the future.
The controlls are smooth, the levels are challenging and I had a great time playing it.
I'm giving this game a 8/10.
